R & D: Our History of Firsts
Orsus Xelent has introduced:
- The first watch-style mobile based on CDMA20001X in a joint effort with South Korea 's TELSON, in May of 2003. This mobile became one of the most popular models in China.
- The first telecommunications terminal fully supporting the CDMA2000-1X protocol.
- The first watch-style wireless mobile.
- The first GPRS mobile, collaborating with South Korea 's TELSON, based on WISMO PAC P5186D, the GPRS module of WAVECOM company, in May 2003, and introduced in October 2003.
- The first mobile made in China using three-color OLED organic EL secondary display with TFT main display.
- The first mobile made in China supporting four frequencies: 850/900/1800/1900MHz.
- The first mobile made in China with 64 polyphonic melody.
- The first mobile supporting USB interface and 16M flash U-disk (NAND-FLASH).
- The first mobile made in China with an internal 300K camera, Ultra-red, EMS , MMS, JAVA and USB.
Development based on GSM/GPRS chips
Via its collaboration with domestic R&D companies, Orsus Xelent has developed the GPRS mobile, based on ADI6525 and 6221 chip sets and featuring an internal camera. We plan to develop and market a a complete low-end to medium to high-end line of mobiles utilizing these advanced chip sets, also featuring a built-in camera and offering MONO, CSTN, TFT and LCM. These models will include a line of 1 to 3-million CCD pixel camera mobiles with high-resolution CMOS.

2004 Award
The Orsus M62 won the "Most Fashionable Cell Phone" award at the 2004 Annual Conference of Network Application Technology, held by CCID at Beijing.
